Course Schedule >>
The course is aimed at all personnel working within the design, manufacturing, transactional, sales or support environment. Lean Sigma is a very successful methodology for Service Design and Operational Productivity Improvement. For over ten years we have used a blend of Lean and Six Sigma philosophies to deliver proven education that has been highly successful. By engaging our students from client organisations in methodologies that sustain gains we have been successful in achieving client savings in excess of €100,000 per project/annum and, in many cases, much more.
Unlike many other programmes, Lean Sigma is applicable to large or small organisations, in public and private sectors and in all types of service or production operations. This is borne out by our client list.
Our student and mentoring client portfolio includes the Health Service Executive in the southern region, SR Technics, Glanbia, IBM, Laya Healthcare, Ashgrove Renewables, Stryker, Symantec Inc. CSO, VMWare, Pfizer, Janssen Biologics Ireland, Vention Medical, and Irish Guide Dogs.

“SR Technics Airfoil Services in Cork repair commercial jet engine airfoils for some of the world’s most prestigious airlines and overhaul shops. The work carried out at the facility is exacting, critical and highly skilled. When we began our lean journey we were fortunate to team up with CAMMS CIT. They have provided our staff with training and education on their courses including White Belt, Yellow Belt, Green Belt and Black Belt in the past ten years. We have found these courses to be very well fitted to our business and an excellent investment in our workforce. The delivery, scope and content of the courses more than meet our needs and we have found that any suggestions by us or our staff for program improvement has always been taken on board. In addition, CAMMS CIT have been very willing to assist us with advice and expertise on many of our continuous improvement projects.”
Damien Carroll, Human Resources Manager of SR Technics Airfoil Services
“I found the course to be of huge benefit. The qualification is well recognised in the marketplace given its link with CIT & CAMMS. The flexibility and knowledge shown by the tutors was excellent. The course has helped me secure two contracts for work specifically related to the Green Belt content.”
Eoghan Hegarty, Green Belt graduate
“I have to say that the course, (Green Belt), met my expectations and went further. I knew how to manage a project and the different steps every project goes through, but this course shows us really how to go through them, tools to use, and how to deal with unpleasant situations that may arise.”
Orla O’Rourke, Green Belt graduate
“The Six Sigma Green Belt course was on my list of priorities for a number of years. I attended the course run by Mark Stockil in CIT and must say it exceeded my expectations in every way. I secured a position before the end of the course in a medical device organisation renowned for their expertise in continuous improvement. I was able to become a fully functioning member of staff in a short space of time due to the relevant and up to date material that was imparted to me on the course. This is a fantastic course that can be adopted for use across all industries. The Green Belt will extend your core competences and make you an attractive proposition for future employers.
Tony Foran, Green Belt graduate, unemployed when starting the course
"I applied for a place on the Certificate in Lean Six-Sigma Green belt through the Springboard programme. My background is in the multi-national pharmaceutical sector, and I was interested in this course, as I knew from my experience, that courses like this are very well received with-in the industry. I found the course content, relevant, practical and up to date. The tutors were very professional, helpful, enthusiastic, and accommodating to students like myself, who were out of the classroom for a long time. An interesting aspect for me was that many of my classmates were from different employment sectors, and they also found the course very beneficial. I found this course a huge confidence booster and hugely beneficial to my career progression."
Fergal O'Connor, Green Belt graduate
