All part-time programmes at CIT will run subject to sufficient student numbers. Where a programme cannot proceed, applicants will be contacted and advised on alternative study options.
An Information session will take place on Wednesday 4th September 2019 from 5.30pm to 7.00pm at the CIT Bishopstown Campus. Institute staff will be in attendance to offer career guidance and assistance.
Students should note that Fees quoted relate to the academic year 2019-2020 only and are subject to change on an annual basis. Except where stated, course fees cover the cost of tuition only.

AUKOM training is currently offered in 19 countries and CIT is the only approved training centre in Ireland. Three levels of certification are available; this Level 1 programme concentrates on fundamental concepts, such as dimensional tolerancing, basic programming, and common measuring equipment.
Topics covered in AUKOM Level 1 are
- Principles of coordinate metrology
- Basic definitions, tolerancing, and geometric elements
- Measuring preparation, including stylus selection, part cleaning, and temperature control
- Documentation & quality management
Candidates will be prepared to take the AUKOM Level 1 test which will be administered by CIT personnel at the end of the programme; AUKOM certificates will be issued to those who successfully complete the programme and the test.
The programme is largely classroom-based but will involve practical demonstrations of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equipment and software.
